Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (14.3 ounces) Mint Oreos
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 12 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
- Green sprinkles
Instructions
- Crush the Mint Oreos in a food processor until they’re finely ground. You can also do this by placing them in a Ziploc bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Mint Oreos and softened cream cheese. Mix until well combined. The mixture should form a dough like consistency.
- Roll the mixture into 1 inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Melt the semi sweet chocolate chips with the vegetable shortening (if using) in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Dip each Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. You can use a fork or dipping tools for this step.
- Place the dipped balls back onto the parchment paper and immediately sprinkle with green sprinkles or other decorations of your choice.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely. Serve chilled.
