Description
Quick and delicious steak bites with a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lb sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes; pat dry)
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 0.25 cup honey
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (balances sweetness)
- 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes (optional heat)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the steak cubes with kosher salt, black pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in a single layer and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Add the seared steak back into the skillet. Toss to coat the steak bites in the honey garlic sauce.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes, allowing the steak to absorb the flavors.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Ensure to pat the steak dry before seasoning for better searing. Adjust honey based on your sweetness preference.
