Description

The most easy and crispy homemade Sheet Pan Pizza made with a soft risen dough pressed into an olive-oiled pan, topped with marinara, melted mozzarella, and pepperoni, baked golden and bubbling at 450°F. The ultimate crowd-pleasing pizza night recipe ready in under an hour.

Ingredients

Scale

2 1/4 tsp Active Dry Yeast

1 1/2 cups Warm Water about 110°F

3 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour plus extra for dusting

2 tbsp Olive Oil plus more for greasing

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Sugar

1 1/2 cups Marinara or Pizza Sauce

3 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

30 to 40 slices Pepperoni or your choice of toppings

1 tsp Dried Oregano or Italian Seasoning

Grated Parmesan for sprinkling

Fresh Parsley or Basil chopped optional

Instructions

1. Combine warm water and sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle yeast over the top and let sit 5 to 10 minutes until foamy.

2. Whisk flour and salt together in a large bowl. Add yeast mixture and olive oil and stir into a rough dough.

3. Knead on a lightly floured surface for 7 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until doubled.

5. Preheat oven to 450°F. Generously coat a large sheet pan with olive oil.

6. Punch down risen dough and transfer to the sheet pan. Stretch and press to fill the pan evenly.

7. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough leaving a small border at the edges.

8. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the sauce. Arrange pepperoni or chosen toppings in an even layer.

9. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and browning and crust edges are deep golden.

10. Sprinkle with oregano, Parmesan, and fresh herbs. Rest 3 to 5 minutes then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Always let yeast foam fully before adding to flour to confirm it is active.

Olive oil on the pan fries the dough bottom creating the signature crispy crust.

If dough springs back while stretching, cover and rest 5 minutes before continuing.

Do not overload toppings for even cooking and a properly browned cheese layer.

Assemble up to 24 hours ahead covered in the refrigerator and bake when ready.
