Description
A simple yet flavorful dish featuring sautéed dandelion greens, garlic, olive oil, and red pepper flakes. A taste of the Italian countryside, ready in minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound dandelion greens, washed and chopped
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or more, to taste)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth (optional, for extra moisture)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash and chop the dandelion greens. Make sure to remove any tough stems.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant but not browned.
- Add the chopped dandelion greens to the skillet. Sauté, stirring frequently, until the greens have wilted and softened, about 5-7 minutes. If the pan gets too dry, add a splash of chicken broth to help steam the greens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, with lemon wedges on the side, if desired.
