- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Optional: Granulated sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add peanut butter and mix until well combined.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Roll out dough to ¼ inch thickness and cut out heart shapes.
- Place cookies on prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Sprinkle tops with granulated sugar, if desired.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden brown.
- Let cookies cool on baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
