Description

The most easy wholesome Peach Crumble Bars made by preheating oven to 350°F lining 8-inch pan with parchment tossing 450g chopped peaches first with 1 tsp lemon juice then 1 tsp almond extract then 2 tsp cornstarch and 2 tbsp sugar mixing 140g flour 130g rolled oats 155g sugar 1 tsp cinnamon and optional salt adding 150g melted cooled butter and stirring to crumble pressing 2/3 firmly into pan as crust spooning peach pieces over leaving excess liquid in bowl crumbling remaining 1/3 over top pressing gently and baking 33 to 35 minutes until golden and crunchy cooling 1 hour at room temperature then refrigerating 1 1/2 hours before cutting. A completely perfect oatmeal summer peach crumble bar recipe.

140g 1 cup All-Purpose Flour

130g 1 cup and 1/3 cup Rolled Oats

155g 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar

1 tsp Ground Cinnamon

1/4 tsp Salt optional

150g 2/3 cup Unsalted Butter melted and cooled

450g 2 cups Fresh Peaches peeled and chopped 1/2 to 1-inch pieces

30g 2 tbsp Granulated Sugar for filling

2 tsp Cornstarch

1 tsp Fresh Lemon Juice

1 tsp Pure Almond Extract or vanilla extract


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F 177°C. Grease 8-inch square pan. Line with parchment 2-inch overhang.

2. Chop peeled peaches into 1/2 to 1-inch pieces. Toss first with lemon juice. Then toss with almond extract. Then toss with cornstarch and sugar. Set aside.

3. Mix flour, rolled oats, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in bowl. Add melted cooled butter. Stir to crumble.

4. Place 2/3 crumble into pan. Press firmly and evenly as crust.

5. Spoon peach pieces over crust. Leave excess accumulated liquid in bowl.

6. Sprinkle remaining 1/3 crumble over peaches. Squeeze some in palm for large chunks. Press gently to adhere.

7. Bake 33 to 35 minutes until golden and crunchy.

8. Cool at room temperature 1 hour.

9. Refrigerate 1 1/2 more hours until completely cool.

10. Lift using parchment. Cut into bars.
