- 1/2 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed (optional, for added nutrients)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, chocolate chips, ground flaxseed (if using), vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir all ingredients together until well combined. The mixture should be slightly sticky and hold together when pressed.
- If the mixture is too dry, add a teaspoon of honey or maple syrup at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
- If the mixture is too wet, add a tablespoon of rolled oats at a time until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Using a spoon or your hands, roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Place the energy balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the balls to firm up.
- Once chilled, store the No Bake Chocolate Energy Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
