Ingredients
1 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter room temperature
1 cup Granulated Sugar
3 large Eggs room temperature
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Whole Milk
1/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
Powdered Sugar for dusting optional
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment leaving overhang on long sides.
2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
3. Beat room temperature butter and sugar on medium-high 3 minutes until pale and fluffy.
4. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each. Stir in vanilla.
5. Add dry ingredients in 3 additions alternating with milk. Mix gently until just combined.
6. Transfer 1/3 of batter to a separate bowl. Stir in cocoa powder until smooth.
7. Spoon alternating dollops of vanilla and chocolate batter into prepared pan.
8. Draw a knife through batter in 2 to 3 gentle S-shaped passes to marble.
9. Bake 50 to 60 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean. Tent with foil if top browns too quickly.
10. Cool in pan 10 minutes then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
