Description

The most sweet and sticky Honey Garlic Chicken Bites made with crispy cornstarch-coated chicken cubes tossed in a glossy honey garlic glaze with lemon juice and a touch of hot sauce. An addictive and completely effortless weeknight dinner ready in 25 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast cut into 1-inch cubes

2 tsp Cornstarch

Kosher Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper to taste

1 tbsp Olive Oil

1 tbsp Unsalted Butter

4 cloves Garlic finely minced

1/4 cup Honey

3 tbsp Low-Sodium Chicken Stock

1 to 2 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice

1 tsp Hot Sauce such as Sriracha optional

1 tsp Red Chili Pepper Flakes for garnish

1 tbsp Fresh Parsley chopped for garnish

Instructions

1. Cut chicken into even 1-inch cubes. Add to a bowl with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss until evenly coated.

2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot and foaming.

3. Add chicken in a single layer in batches. Cook 6 to 8 minutes turning occasionally until golden on all sides and cooked through.

4. Remove chicken to a plate. Reduce heat to medium.

5. Add minced garlic to the same pan and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

6. Pour in honey, chicken stock, lemon juice, and hot sauce if using. Stir to combine.

7. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.

8. Return all chicken to the skillet and toss until every piece is fully coated in the sticky glaze.

9. Remove from heat. Garnish with chili flakes and fresh parsley.

10. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Notes

Never skip the cornstarch coating. It creates the essential crispy exterior that makes these bites so satisfying.

Always cook in batches to maintain pan heat and ensure proper searing rather than steaming.

Do not rush the sauce simmer. Full 2 to 3 minutes of simmering creates the sticky lacquered glaze.

Lemon juice is essential for balancing the sweetness of the honey.

Store refrigerated up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of chicken stock.
