Description
Quick and easy garlic butter steak bites recipe! Tender sirloin steak seared to perfection in a rich garlic butter sauce. A delicious appetizer or main course ready in minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat until almost smoking. Add the steak cubes in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. You might have to do this in batches.
- Sear the steak for about 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute, or until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
- Stir in the dried thyme and red pepper flakes (if using). Return the steak to the skillet and toss to coat it in the garlic butter. Cook for another minute or two, until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
