- 1.5 pounds boneless chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Szechuan peppercorns (crushed)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (for coating)
- 0.5 cup green bell pepper (sliced)
- 0.5 cup red bell pepper (sliced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken pieces in soy sauce and crushed Szechuan peppercorns for about 30 minutes.
- Coat the marinated chicken with cornstarch.
- Heat a large pan over medium-high heat with a bit of oil.
- Add the coated chicken to the pan and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the sliced green and red bell peppers and minced garlic to the pan and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the peppers are tender but still crisp.
- Mix everything together well and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Notes
Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles. Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for enhanced flavor and presentation.
