2 to 3 cups Powdered Sugar sifted
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F 175°C. Grease and line two 9-inch pans.
2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Beat softened butter and dark brown sugar medium-high 2 to 3 minutes light and creamy. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla.
4. Stir sour cream and milk. Alternate flour in 3 additions with sour cream-milk in 2 additions beginning and ending with flour. Mix just combined.
5. Divide between pans. Bake 28 to 32 minutes until toothpick clean. Cool completely.
6. Melt butter in heavy-bottomed saucepan. Add brown sugar and cream. Stir combined.
7. Bring to full rolling boil. Cook stirring constantly to 235°F softball stage 3 to 5 minutes.
8. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and salt. Cool 15 minutes.
