Description
The most stunning and easy Berry Trifle made with cubed pound cake layered with billowy Chantilly cream made from cream cheese whipped cream and confectioners sugar and fresh mixed berries of strawberries blueberries and raspberries assembled in a glass trifle dish in 15 minutes. A completely beautiful and elegant summer crowd dessert.
Ingredients
1 Pound Cake store-bought or homemade cubed into 1 to 1 1/2-inch pieces
Two 6-oz containers Fresh Blueberries about 2 cups
1 1/2 quarts Fresh Strawberries hulled and halved
16 oz Full-Fat Block Cream Cheese room temperature
1 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream cold
2 cups Confectioners Sugar
1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
Fresh Mint Sprigs for serving
Instructions
1. Hull and halve strawberries. Reserve 1 cup mixed berries for garnish.
2. Cube pound cake into 1 to 1 1/2-inch pieces.
3. Whip cold heavy cream to stiff peaks. Transfer to clean bowl. Set aside.
4. Beat room temperature cream cheese and confectioners sugar until completely smooth.
5. Beat in vanilla extract.
6. Add 1/3 of whipped cream to cream cheese. Beat together.
7. Fold in remaining whipped cream until no streaks remain.
8. Optionally transfer cream to zip-lock bag with corner snipped for easier layering.
9. Add 1/3 cream to bottom of trifle dish and spread evenly.
10. Top with half the pound cake cubes.
11. Add half the berries.
12. Add second layer of cream. Add remaining cake. Add remaining berries.
13. Finish with final cream layer smoothed on top.
14. If serving immediately top with reserved berries and mint sprigs.
15. If serving later cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Garnish before serving.
